Shopify Catalog & Supplier Sync Automation
Thousands of SKUs synced from supplier feeds to Shopify — pricing and inventory maintained automatically
1000s
of SKUs maintained automatically
~0
manual catalog hours per week
100%
price changes applied on schedule
The problem
Product data arrived from suppliers in inconsistent feeds and spreadsheets. Keeping the Shopify catalog accurate — new products, price changes, stock levels, discontinued lines — was a continuous manual job with real margin risk: a missed cost increase meant selling at a loss; a missed stockout meant refunds and angry customers.
The solution
We built an automated catalog pipeline: supplier data ingested on schedule, normalized through mapping and transformation rules, run through pricing logic (margins, rounding, overrides), and synced to Shopify with full change logging. Exceptions — suspicious price swings, unmapped categories — route to a human review queue instead of publishing blindly.
Architecture
- Scheduled ingestion of supplier feeds with per-supplier mapping profiles
- Normalization and validation layer catching malformed or suspicious data
- Pricing engine applying margin rules with manual-override protection
- Shopify sync with change history and rollback capability
